- Selling more than 60 different types of ready-made and customized noodles for each store
In-house noodles were once a sign of a good restaurant because they were made fresh and suitable for cooking in-house, but the downside was that it was difficult to maintain quality. For smaller restaurants, the tricky process of storing, making, and aging noodles can make it difficult to operate. With this in mind, Dasun, an agricultural corporation, is a company that customizes raw noodles in small batches to fit the flavor preferences of individual restaurants. The company has been manufacturing raw noodles for more than 30 years and has 60 types of ready-made products.
Noodle specialist with over 60 differentiated noodles
From ready-made to custom-made noodles
Dasun (CEO Gwon Keong-ja) has been manufacturing and distributing raw noodles for 30 years by selecting carefully selected raw materials, adhering to authentic manufacturing methods, and emphasizing customized services. Noodle dishes come in many varieties and are enjoyed by people of all ages, but they are also a food that many people are picky about. Many restaurants are very particular about the noodles they use. Dasun provides a wide variety of raw noodles, including udon, soba, Chinese noodles, makguksu, kalguksu, sujebi, and barley noodles, to more than 10,000 restaurants and franchisees nationwide. Dasun uses only the finest ingredients and is meticulous about inspecting them. The doughs are all aged for about three hours, which results in a chewy flavor on all sides. The aging process is natural, with the optimal mixing ratio for consistency, frequent use of water during the kneading process to create a chewier noodle, and the use of refined salt to ensure the best possible noodle product. Barley noodles, soybean noodles, buckwheat noodles and black garlic noodles also undergo the same process and aging, making them more chewy and easier to swallow.

Eyeing on overseas markets
Dasun is meticulous in maintaining the quality of its noodles, not only in terms of order requirements, but also in terms of texture, thickness, length, mouthfeel, and cooking process. Because it is raw noodles, Dasun is also able to supply restaurants that are unable to receive the required amount of customized small batches at once, which has led to a significant increase in requests from private stores. This has resulted in a unique position as the country’s leading manufacturer of raw noodles, but Dasun is not resting on its laurels and is striving to become even better. Dasun continues to research and develop healthy gluten-free noodle products for people who have difficulty digesting wheat flour. Dasun is expanding its automated factory to further solidify its customized, small-batch production system, while also expanding into overseas markets. While supplying noodles to the US and Philippines, it has been well received at local fairs in Thailand, Australia and China.
