Hyundai Motor Company-Ulsan City-Guangzhou City, China, signed a business agreement to expand the hydrogen ecosystem
The ‘Hyundai Motor Company-Ulsan City-Guangzhou City Hydrogen Ecosystem Joint Cooperation Promotion Business Agreement’ was signed. The agreement aims to establish an organic hydrogen cooperation system and activate the hydrogen ecosystem. Under the agreement, various cooperation projects will be promoted to create a hydrogen ecosystem, including △ holding a hydrogen forum to share leading cases of hydrogen ecosystem construction and explore ways to cooperate △ discovering demonstration projects across the entire hydrogen industry cycle, including hydrogen energy production, supply, and utilization △ and conducting joint research projects with industry, academia, and research institutes to secure hydrogen technology competitiveness. Hyundai built and operated its first overseas hydrogen fuel cell system production base, HTWO Guangzhou, last year to preempt the Chinese hydrogen market and launch a global hydrogen business. Hyundai also signed a business agreement with Ulsan on Nov. 12 to strengthen cooperation across the hydrogen value chain.

Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors held ‘Wearable Robot Tech Day’ at ‘Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang’ located in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do on November 27th and announced their commercialization plan along with the first public unveiling of the wearable robot ‘X-ble Shoulder’. X-ble Shoulder is an industrial wearable robot developed using Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Robotics Lab’s own technology. It assists the user’s upper arm (shoulder and elbow) muscle strength when raising the arm, thereby significantly reducing the burden on the musculoskeletal system. The company will accelerate the development of the ‘X-ble Waist,’ an industrial wearable robot that assists the waist, and the ‘X-ble MEX,’ a medical wearable robot for the rehabilitation of people with walking difficulties.
