The most important thing about American wooden houses is the spacing of the frames. They must be 400 millimeters apart and have insulation in between. This is the biggest difference with prefabricated houses, which don’t have these frames. Seahorse House maintains a precise 400mm framing spacing and uses jass-grade wood imported from North America. This wood is characterized by very distinct rings and has a residual moisture content of 9-12%, which prevents warping over time.

The insulation is also of the highest quality grass wool, which not only keeps you warm, but also cushions noise and shocks between floors and allows the wood to breathe, keeping you cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The steel frame is built on the floor before the framing is raised.
