Daehyun System joined hands with CJ Logistics to develop dock safety railing doors that prevent falls in warehouses and protect the safety of workers. The doors were patented in 2021 and have been installed in warehouses of CJ Logistics and Hanjin Express. Normally, it is closed and used as a safety railing, but when loading and unloading, it can be opened upwards like a door. Anyone can easily lift it to open and close it, and the double fixing device allows it to be used as a sturdy handrail.

Patented technology and accumulated know-how
Daehyun System installs and maintains conveyors and sorters in logistics centers and cargo terminals, and designs, constructs, and repairs conveyor peripherals. Founded in 2019 and located in Gonjiam-eup, Gwangju, the company is led by CEO Daekwan Kim, a 20-year veteran of the industry. Development of safety devices to improve working environment
Most warehouses build docks to accommodate the height of trucks to load and unload goods. The problem is that most docks are open and unsecured, allowing workers to slip and fall or get caught between the dock and a car. “We have installed our dock safety railings at CJ Logistics, Hanjin Express, and others. Lotte and Rosen are also contacting us for quotations. With the strengthening of safety and health regulations, large logistics companies are becoming more interested in safety” says Kim. He adds “We install and maintain conveyors and sorters, and we also build safety devices and crossings around the conveyors to meet the needs of our customers. We also manufacture and deliver crossing stairs for workers to walk over and catch nets to catch items falling from the sorters. There are many logistics robots and devices being developed, such as wearable robots, robotic arms, and telescopes, but they are expensive and not very efficient. In contrast, the moving porters we are developing are inexpensive and can improve work efficiency. A moving porter is like having a small conveyor in front of a conveyor. It can move up and down, left and right, and at any angle. When loading and unloading, it lifts the items on the bottom and lowers the items on top, so workers don’t have to laboriously lift and carry items. I grew up installing conveyors, so I’m constantly coming up with ideas to develop devices that help workers work in a safer environment and prevent musculoskeletal disorders.” Daehyun System has been awarded three patents for its dock safety railing and has a patent pending for its moving porters.
