DY ROBOTICS Unveils Upgraded Manless Forklift: 3W-AGV

In February, DY ROBOTICS introduced the latest upgraded version of its 3W-AGV automated guided forklift, driving the next generation of logistics automation and innovation. This new model significantly improves precision and driving stability while incorporating centralized control, enabling the efficient management of a large fleet of machines in a smart logistics environment. With AI-driven optimization, automated mapping, and advanced worker movement technologies, DY ROBOTICS is setting new standards in logistics automation.

 

Enhanced Precision and Smoother Operation

The 3W-AGV is an automated guided vehicle (AGV) that navigates safely and accurately using LiDAR sensors. It autonomously follows designated paths, adjusting its fork position by lifting, rotating, and accurately loading or unloading goods without error. While the previous model was prone to slight angular and positional errors, these issues have been significantly reduced in the upgraded version. The forklift now moves and rotates more smoothly with improved precision in positioning.

 

Upgraded Software: Advanced Centralized Control and Mapping

This upgrade, which has been in development for over a year, incorporates remote monitoring and control to prevent vehicle collisions, optimize logistics flow, and accelerate operations. It can dynamically adjust routes to match workflows or create customized paths.

“What was once simple straight-line travel or pre-programmed route following is now enhanced with AI-powered analytics, allowing the forklift to avoid obstacles, optimize workflows, and adjust routes in real time,” explained Minho Jeong, Development Director at DY ROBOTICS.

Additionally, the new mapping system ensures more precise task localization within warehouses. The upgraded 3W-AGV can now automatically configure over 50 work points, with the potential for further expansion as needed.

 

Mass Production and Nationwide Sales Network

DY ROBOTICS plans to transition to full-scale mass production of the 3W-AGV automated guided vehicle in the second half of this year. Currently, the forklifts are produced and delivered on a post-order basis, but moving forward, they will be pre-tested for performance and require only on-site setup after delivery. This shift is expected to significantly reduce delivery times.

While Japanese-made automated forklifts typically require an average delivery period of five months, DY ROBOTICS aims to deliver and install its AGVs within just three months. Furthermore, the company plans to establish a robust sales and support network in the southern Daejeon area, the Gyeongbuk region (including Daegu), and eight cities in the Gyeongnam region (Ulsan, Changwon, Masan, Busan, etc.), ensuring fast and efficient customer service.

 

Expanding into the Chinese and Global Markets

DY ROBOTICS CEO Eunchul Jeong is scheduled to visit MIMA Forklift headquarters in China to inspect the manufacturing facilities and engage in discussions as part of the company’s strategy to expand beyond Korea into the Chinese and global markets.

The 3W-AGV automated guided forklift is designed to serve as a comprehensive logistics solution for warehouses. By integrating with Wi-Fi AP communication and WMS (Warehouse Management System), it creates a smarter logistics environment. The system comes with a standard setup of up to 50 points, with scalability options available for expanded functionality (additional setup fees apply).

Previously, DY ROBOTICS’ automated forklift technology was limited to three-way forklifts, but it can now be applied to both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, making it highly adaptable to diverse industries and logistics environments.
