Gmedi (CEO Gwangmo Sung) is a research company that has been cultivating and honing its leading creative capabilities and deep skills and technologies since 1992, with the goal of bringing the original technology and mystery to the world. Gmedi is primarily engaged in manufacturing medical consumables and devices and holds ISO 13485 (Medical Device Quality Management System) and Certificate of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). Gmedi is a company with special technical power in the following products. Below are the product descriptions.

 

CLO (“Neutral” NeedleFree Connector)

This product is used to connect to catheters, cannulas, etc. as an infusion set line to protect against syringes, needles, reduce infections, and reduce the risk of occlusion, microbial, intrusion, and seepage. It is the only “Neutral” type in Korea and is certified for 96 hours of continuous fastening use (the only one in the world) and does not deteriorate even after continuous fastening use and more than 150 medication injections in a single shot. It has an inimitable 4-window structure that minimizes the contact area when injecting medication with a syringe and we have secured a patent for the world’s most advanced injection structure. It has the world’s best occlusion prevention ability, which is the blood clotting in a catheter installed in a blood vessel. It is not a flimsy product of the traditional chamber type. It is a transparent structure that allows you to look through and see the product and manage the presence of blood in the procedure. SCON PPH

Many people develop hemorrhoids around the anus for a variety of reasons, the most common being bulging hemorrhoids, which can cause up to 600,000 people each year to experience painful bowel movements and consequent immobility. In a modern procedure, a consumable machine called a PPH (Hemorrhoidal Stapler) is used to staple 1 to 4 hemorrhoids of varying sizes and locations. In stages 3 and 4, patients may require surgery depending on their symptoms, and our SCON PPH allows them to go home the same day after the procedure. After five years of research, Gmedi received medical device certification in 2016 and is the only manufacturing and sales company in Korea to date. We have patents and design patents, and we have visited Japan 20 times in the last two years to get into the market, which we have succeeded for our product, and it is currently in the process of PMDA (Japan) and PhFDA (Philippine) certification while we have signed a contract to supply more than 50,000 units per year.

 

AAS(Angio Accessory Set)

The third product is a consumable used in angiography Angio Intervention. This is the product with the highest domestic market share. It is a key consumable used to inject contrast agents and fluids into the patient’s vascular system. With 3 years of R&D, 10 years of manufacturing know-how, and a solid distribution partner, we have been able to compete fiercely with leading overseas products and hold a strong advantage. This product is sold to Japan and the Philippines starting at 10k units per month.

 

Celome

The fourth product we’re going to talk about has to do with something you may not be familiar with, but that we hold dear: atmospheric air. The product name is Celome (short for Cell Omega). Air in the atmosphere is made up of nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and carbon dioxide, with oxygen typically being about 21% of the composition. During a chance research opportunity 25 years ago, Gmedi became curious and deeply interested in the role of oxygen in the human body, noting that humans have evolved mechanisms to respond to low oxygen levels to ensure adequate oxygen supply to tissues and cells, and that various diseases and terminal illnesses may emerge in the future as we industrialize and modernize. We started Celome research and development believing that we could overcome this by supplying special natural energy to the human body’s energy metabolism through various experimental practices. We completed the development of the product based on the fact that it has a function that matches the content of the 2019 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine (cells enhance the human body’s immunity according to oxygen concentration and energy activation, and reach a state that cannot be overcome in a hypoxic situation) and that it conforms to biocompatibility if it is used by polymerizing a natural material that can heal it through Celome, which was already prepared. We obtained the final results through gas analysis tests to make the various papers more stable and valid. When we entered Japan during our commercialization, we had already seen the effectiveness and impact of the device at a medical device exhibition in China. We visited Japan more than 20 times and jointly tested with home healthcare, hospital officials, and clinics, making great achievements and gaining evidence. We are now able to introduce the mysterious device Celome as the only device that helps mankind with medical device certification.
