Interior design designs the inside of a building according to its purpose covering materials, lighting, furniture, color and layout of the space for the movement of residents. Function and aesthetic are both important in interior design.
Nestled in Wonju City, Eunyudesign became famous by joining the collaboration of constructing Tadao Ando’s Space of Light in the Museum SAN in Wonju. It also led the improvement of the exhibition halls of the museum. Throughout its 20 years of expertise in the field, Eunyudesign has built its credit for differentiation in design and thoroughness in construction. It has involved in works of small and large buildings including a Samyang Foods factory in Wonju, Lake Hotel in Cheongpung, Enesti head office in Chungju, and remodeling small houses for urban regeneration in Seoul.

“I think space, life and value are the three important elements when it comes to interior design. I’d rather people bring up the owner of the building first than the designer. And for this, the designer should understand the both inner and outer side of the owner.” says Kim.
It is notable that Eunyudesign won the Seoul Architectural Award in 2016 with its remodeling work of small houses in Sadang-dong. It attracted media attention.
“I and my team had to go through many problems such as limitation of the space that made loading and unloading difficult as well as movement of the workers. But we did it anyway with our accumulated knowhow and creative ideas.” says Kim.

Apart from building interior, Eunyudesign also provides exhibition design consulting as it has undertaken numerous projects including improvement of the hall of James Turrell and alignment of the outdoor exhibition with Shinsegae Simon in 2018.
“In the case of Tadao Ando, it was such a pleasure for me to realize the light comes through the cracks of the concrete. I hope to work with more artists in the world.” says Kim.
As an interior designer and CEO of Eunyudesign, Kim travels around the world to get inspiration and to give inspiring results to his clients.
