Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Euisun Chung meets Brazilian President Lula da Silva

They met on February 22 at the presidential office. Chung expressed his gratitude to the government’s support for Hyundai motor factories in Brazil and introduced Hyundai’s effort for local communities. “We want to grow together with Brazil. We are running free dental care, tree planting and safe workplace programs for the local employees. The management and the workers have reached agreement on wages for the last 11 years without dispute.” said Chung. Hyundai motor factories received Excellent Job Enterprise certification from the SERT of Brazil and the company along with partners plan to invest 1.1 billion USD in hydrogen and future technologies. The Brazilian government announced 5.1 trillion won tax benefit for eco-friendly vehicle manufacturers last December. Briefed about Hyudai Motor’s AAM and SMR, Silva said that Hyundai Motor Group is a valuable partner investing in eco-friendly technologies.

Hyundai Motor Group signs business agreement with Michelin and Hankook Tire

Hyundai Motor Group signed a business agreement with Michelin and Hankook Tire on February 29 for supplying certified tires for used cars. Hyundai buys used cars and when necessary changes the used tires with new Michelin or Hankook tires. This is part of Hyundai’s will to secure customer trust and satisfaction in the growing used car market.
