According to National Health Insurance Service, the number of people who have experienced hair loss reached to 10 million as of 2017. Unlike in the past where the symptoms mostly occurred to older people, young people also suffer today. People with bald head normally covered their heads with wigs while others planted. Alongside promoting SMP, Kim and the Korea Tattoo Federation joined hands to legalize tattoo in South Korea. They have already visited Constitutional Court of Korea a number of times and field a constitutional appeal. They are also carrying out one man picketing in front of the National Assembly. South Korea is known to be the only country where tattoo is illegal but practiced anyway.

金东铉总经理成立了韩国头皮纹身学会，提高纹身师的职业意识和专业化程度。金总经理努力实现纹发的大众化，提高SMP纹发技术水平，与学术界进一步接触，培养专业纹身师。
金总经理表示，“我认为，谁能掌握好医学和皮肤相关知识并对脱发人群产生共鸣，谁才能做出优质的施术。我在钟根堂釜山医药组工作过三年，当时能够掌握许多医学知识和脱发相关信息。以此为契机，我就可以从医学的角度研究头皮纹身。“
尽管SMP纹发具有较长历史，但实现商业化还不久，对一般人来说是个陌生的概念。除了韩国以外，在全球范围内，SMP纹发处于起步阶段。韩国头皮纹身学会作为韩国SMP纹发产业的领头羊，竭尽全力发展SMP领域。韩国头皮纹身学会已经进军美国和中国市场展开活动，对台湾、越南、俄罗斯市场十分感兴趣，希望与这些国家推动合作。同时，金总经理于7月21日同大韩纹身社中央会林普兰董事长、高管以及541名会员访问韩国宪法法院，提出了关于“纹身合法化”的集体宪法诉愿，为维护纹身师的权益付出努力，并且在10月底，他在国会进行一人示威。
