Total reliability solutions for semiconductor

The semiconductor reliability test is the most important part of the whole semiconductor making process. The test checks on the semiconductor whether it can function without any fault for the next 10 years which is a desired life expectancy no matter where it is used including satellite or space station. 

Sim Jin-sup, CEO of TRS, is a veteran in image sensor and Technology CAD which is a pre-simulation of semiconductor. He built his extensive knowledge and experience while working for Geumsung Electronics, the predecessor of SK Hynix. 

He was quick to grasp the Electro-Static Discharge factor that it fatally lowers the functions of semiconductor and the finding brought his name a strong presence in the field home and abroad. 

Seeing the potential of ESD, he eventually quit his job and established TRS in 2013 which stands for Total Reliability Solution. Yet TRS not only has provided reliability solutions but also training the technique. As for the year 2019, he is determined to make more challenges rather than enjoying what he has achieved so far.

在半导体生产中,最核心的部分当属“半导体信赖性实验”,该实验验证半导体产品是否能将良好的性能至少保持10年。因为半导体必须适应地球上的所有环境,即便在人工卫星或者太空站等容易暴露在外部环境的地方,也需要保持合格的性能,其寿命至少要达到10年。
沈辰燮代表曾在Geusung Electronics(前身是海力士半导体公司)工作,是半导体工艺预模拟T-CAD(Technology CAD)领域的技术骨干,同时在图像传感器领域也创下了卓越成就;凭借对半导体生产过程掌握的知识和技术,在公司里取得了令人惊讶的成果。他迅速觉察到ESD(Electro-Static Discharge,静电放电)会成为半导体性能的致命阻碍因素,将与其相关的技术输出至海内外,成为该领域的专家,声名鹊起。
其实,彼时决定在高歌猛进的半导体产业创业,并非易事。沈代表第一次向公司提交辞呈时,公司极力挽留,但他在再三考虑ESD产业的未来价值之后,毅然在2013年跳槽创立TRS公司。TRS是Total Reliability Solution的缩写,意味着为顾客提供半导体信赖性解决方案。
沈代表不仅仅为顾客提供解决方案,而且还亲自实施相关技术的培训,持续致力于提高韩国半导体质量。在谈到公司今后发展时,他说不会将这种“市场安全理念”放在首位,一味注重“市场的安全航行”,而是会不断地进行创新,持续挑战。
