- Feel the healing energy from hatha yogi Abhishek Keshav
Abhishek Keshav, a hatha yogi from India with 30 years of experience, will be running a hata yoga class at Kolon Sporex Seocho starting late this year.
Hatha yoga is a series of postures designed to align the skin, muscles, and bones with intentionality and strength. It is designed to open up the body's many channels (chakras, sushumna) so that energy can flow freely through the body.
It is not an easy yoga practice because it is very slow-paced and involves staying in one pose for a long time. But what makes this hatha yoga class so special is the ease and comfort of learning from an expert in the field.
'Ha' means sun and ‘tha’ means moon. The sun represents male, yang, active, and hot, while the moon represents female, yin, and cold. This yoga aims to bring these into harmony and balance. It is about learning to strive, persevere, and balance in each posture, and doing it in real life. Hatha yoga requires you to pay particular attention to your breathing.
It is said that through its practice, your physical and mental potential grows, and you discover and experience your true purpose and spirit within. It is a very necessary yoga practice for people living in today's world. Kolon Sporex Seocho says Abhishek Keshav's hatha yoga gives you time to relax your body and find peace of mind with Zen meditation. With 30 years of experience, his yoga is a great way to heal and gain positive energy. This is the perfect class for busy people who want to experience deep relaxation in a short amount of time.” Abhishek Keshav is from Bihar, India and studied yoga at Bihar School.
He became famous whenever he visited Korea by teaching yoga at Songgwangsa Temple, Silsangsa Temple, and Kyunggi University. He was highly praised by Koreans who were tired from their busy daily lives, mainly for focusing on relieving tension through breathing and contraction. He taught the basic asanas he developed for pranayama (breathing practice) and bandha (contraction).
He explains to approach breathing with ease, starting with the easiest movements, and humorously says in Korean that it's “illegal” to practice hard and laboriously. His students rave that it is the Indian yogi class they need in Korea. Who knows that Kolon Sporex Seocho might spark an Indian yoga boom in Korea with excellent teaching methods of Abhishek Keshav?
