Alpha Shot is an AI-enabled fire suppression system that integrates infrared detection, signal processing, control algorithms, and data transmission technologies. When a fire occurs within its detection range, it automatically pinpoints the source of ignition within 30 seconds and sends a fire alarm signal while rapidly releasing extinguishing liquid. It sends emergency notifications to managers and fire departments to extinguish the fire as quickly and safely as possible. Alpha Shot uses various sensors, thermal, UV, and IR cameras to quickly locate the coordinates of the fire and extinguish it. It is equipped with IP cameras, vertical and horizontal infrared sensors, thermal cameras, and UV sensors, and can detect fires within a 50-meter radius by rotating 360 degrees left and right. The thermal imaging camera can accurately identify fires inside invisible objects and beyond walls, with no blind spots. Alpha Shot automatically discharges 350 to 400 liters of extinguishing liquid per minute within 30 seconds of detecting a fire, and can be adjusted to direct or curved jets by selecting various nozzles to suit the situation. Alpha Shot, which operates unattended 24 hours a day, can adjust the sensitivity of its fire detection to suit the installation environment, and its big data-based learning of fire types enables it to reliably recognize flames reflected in mirrors or metal, as well as flames commonly encountered in everyday life, such as cigarettes, so you don’t have to worry about malfunctions.

The advantage of Alpha Shot is that it can be installed indoors or outdoors. It is IP54 dust- and water-resistant and all internal components are corrosion-resistant, making it suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. In particular, it is of interest to local governments because it can quickly detect fires inside waste at recycling centers, where large and small fires have been occurring recently. Alpha Shot has been installed and operated in various places including large domestic and international golf courses, national resource recycling centers, industrial complexes, etc., including Gangseo-gu Office and Eunpyeong-gu Office Regional Resource Recycling Centers, Gimhae City Resource Recycling Facility, Elysian Gangchon CC, Gunpo GS Retail, Danyang Daeheung-ri Cyclia, and China Seongwoo District, proving its excellence. According to the National Fire Agency’s statistics, electric vehicle fire accidents are rapidly increasing every year, reaching 72 cases in 2023. If a fire breaks out in an electric vehicle battery, it is difficult to completely extinguish the fire due to thermal runaway, and since electric vehicle chargers are mainly installed in underground parking lots of shopping malls and apartments, there is a risk of a large-scale fire. Hyundai Infracore, which has developed an “electric vehicle fire AI suppression system” that applies Alpia Shot’s artificial intelligence technology, is installed in the form of a cabinet at electric vehicle charging stations to quickly detect fires in electric vehicle batteries, prevent their spread, and extinguish them quickly, unattended and automatically, 24 hours a day. This ensures that the smoke from the battery is captured before the fire starts and the emergency system is immediately activated: an asphyxiation foam, which is resistant to temperatures up to 1400°C, covers the vehicle to prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding area, and extinguishing liquid is injected into the foam through a nozzle. At the same time, a suffocating fire cannon is lowered to nearby vehicles, completely stopping the spread of the fire and alerting the fire department and facility manager. It is designed so that a nearby hydrant can be connected to the inside of the canister, allowing firefighters or administrators who arrive on the scene to extinguish the vehicle more quickly.

In addition to Alpha Shot, Hyundai Infracore has secured various AI solutions such as control systems utilizing AI, traffic safety systems, and smart home IoT. Among them, ‘Alpha Guard’ is a small and medium-sized critical disaster prevention solution that can be used in conjunction with Alpha Shot, and is a system that can manage and prevent various safety accidents that can occur at industrial sites through artificial intelligence. Alpha Guard analyzes and controls events such as ∼ falling down ∼ heavy equipment accident detection and prevention ∼ dangerous equipment accident detection and shutdown ∼ detection of not wearing protective equipment ∼ dangerous person roaming and ∼ fire with artificial intelligence. When an event occurs, it can select and interpret the characteristics of the person and extract the video of a specific person separately. Alpha Guard also supports a search and tracking system that analyzes similarity and displays the route of a specific person based on GIS, and provides a pedestrian safety smart crosswalk system for school zones, and plans to introduce various solutions through the advancement of artificial intelligence.
