Bobs Gym operates its 1,157m2 Seoul Sangbong branch and 2,975m2 Bundang branch open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is equipped with various exercise facilities such as health, PT, golf, yoga, and spa. Sangbong branch, launched in April 2020, is gaining popularity for its young, sophisticated interior tailored to the tastes of the younger generation, and its high ceilings provide a sense of openness, doubling the enjoyment of exercise. CEO kangwoo Jeon started his career as a high school athlete, graduated with a degree in physical education, and has 25 years of experience in the field of bodybuilding, fitness and coaching. He trains athletes, trains professional instructors, and provides systematic and quality training to members. He travels between the Bundang and Sangbong branches every day, manages them directly, and quickly collects customer suggestions and complaints. Bobs Gym suggests workouts that take into account members’ bodies, goals, and preferences through consultations, and provides constant feedback and guidance from dedicated trainers through PT. Yoga is taught in small groups with experienced instructors, with programs tailored to level and ability. The state-of-the-art screen golf is available by reservation for private rooms, making it an affordable and enjoyable experience. The spa is also well-equipped and is a favorite among members who want to relax and heal after a workout.

As the neon sign on the door says, “The gym that’s more fun than a club,” Bobs Gym is a place where you can have fun, get fit, and feel good. “Exercise is something you should do for your health, but my goal is to make it a place of healing. I want people to come to Bobs Gym to feel good, enjoy their workout, and revitalize their lives. Our members have a very high attendance rate. When I see people coming from far away or in bad weather to work out, it inspires me to do more to provide a great environment for them to exercise. We don’t put a limit on the number of daily entries, and we regularly replace and maintain the equipment so that there is a wide variety of machines available” says Jeon.

Differentiation, competitiveness and merit
Bobs Gym does not recruit investors to push sales on its employees, but focuses on its own merits and competitiveness, and strictly prohibits sales activities for memberships or PTs. This creates an environment where new members can focus on their workouts without any pressure. CEO Jeon has been working with his colleagues and disciples for more than a decade, and they now work together at Bobs Gym. “One of the reasons they’ve been with me for so long without any turnover is because they care about each other and work together as a team. We’re all in this together. We’re going to continue to do what we do best. When the time is right, we plan to expand the business a bit more so that more people can find Bobs Gym where they live” says Jeon.
