Samsung opens Samsung Hope Stepping Stone in Daejeon

Samsung opened Samsung Hope Stepping Stone in Daejeon on May 23. This support center supports young people 15 to 18 who are free from protection and be independent after staying several days here. During the stay, they try cooking, cleaning, tidying and learn basic knowledge on financial management and career path. Since the center was first opened in Busan in 2016, around 17,065 young people have gone through the center. The center is run in cooperation with Samsung, Ministry of Employment and Labor, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Community Chest of Korea, and Working Together Foundation. Opening the 11th center in Daejeon this May, Samsung listened to the needs and wants of around 200 young people and managers at the centers nationwide through a survey. 

Samsung and KEPCO sing an MOU for power facility operation cooperation

Samsung and KEPCO singed an MOU for power facility operation cooperation on May 23. The MOU includes cooperation in power facility condition assessment and diagnosis technology, failure prevention cases, application of new preventive diagnosis technologies, and operational experience. The collaboration is expected to help Samsung Electronics efficiently operate its power infrastructure that will be more than ever needed due to the growth of the semiconductor market. KEPCO plans to share its know-how on the condition and operation of power facilities through an integrated AI-based preventive diagnosis system with Samsung Electronics and continue to collaborate with other companies to help the K-semiconductor industry become more competitive in the global market.
