Taeyang makes safety goods and runs safety education and training programs

Safety education and training is very important to prevent accidents. The Ministry of Education introduced 7 safety training standards in 2014 for schools to give students education and training according to their age. Taeyang is a company making educational and training tools for safety and is approved as a safety education institution by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security. 

SunBaby Care

Taeyang makes safety supplies, evacuation supplies and educational supplies and runs compulsory safety education and training for students and school faculty and staff. The company recently has introduced SunBaby Care, the world’s first smart baby care and safety education. 

“Schools overseas use baby dolls to teach students safety but rag dolls or videos are used in South Korea due to humanity issues. The idea of SunBaby Care started from this. I combined a variety of functions to develop a product that not only provides care education as if caring for an actual baby, but also prevents infant safety accidents and how to respond to infant and toddler emergencies.” says Jaeun Jeong, CEO of Taeyang.

SunBaby Care can do education related to baby care, infant safety accidents, sex education, emotional exchange, first aid, and respecting others. It is linked with an app to make education and training easy.

“A variety of content is accumulated in the server as differentiated data. It can be further expanded to include emotional exchange, respect for life, personality which make SunBaby Care highly practical.” says Jeong.

Complying with the 7 safety training standards

SunBaby Care complies with the 7 safety training standards: Everyday safety, traffic safety, violence prevention and personal protection, drug eradication, disaster safety, occupational safety, first aid. Alongside, Taeyang provides training materials and safety goods. Taeyang is also the first company in Korea to develop a Korean CPR mannequin model. Its Sunny CPR Simulator trains people how to CPR in theory and practice and shows their score after trying. One session can cover up to 60 trainees. In addition, the company runs Life Save Guard which integrated the virtual fire extinguishing simulator to help trainees respond quickly when in fire. Quite recently, the company developed a fire rescue handkerchief and obtained Disaster Safety Certification. The handkerchief helps people breath smoothly and stabilizes the mind so that they can escape the fire site safely without much agitation. It has no contraction and deformation even at 250﹎.
