KOTRA holds GPP 2022

KOTRA held the Global Project Plaza 2022 at Intercontinental Hotel Seoul from 24 to 27 May. Marking the 60th birthday, KOTRA has refreshed team spirit to provide down to earth support to South Korean companies in energy, green infrastructure and environment, targeting the global market. For example, they help petroleum companies turn their eye to renewable energy through expansion of investment. The GPP 2022 covered various areas such as global projects, green business, ocean and winds presented by industry specialists from GGGI, S&P Global, Export Import Bank of Korea and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. At the project briefing sessions, 14 projects were thrown on the table by United Arab Emirates, India, Nepal and Dominican Republic. At the green business briefing sessions, support policies were presented by high officials of KOTRA, Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation, Korea Environment Industry & Technology Institute, and Export Import Bank of Korea. On May 25, 120 projects from 82 clients of 28 countries engaged in on/offline trade conference with 80 South Korean eco-friendly energy companies. KOTRA CEO Jeoungyeol Yu said that KOTRA would move fast to provide necessary support needed for the coming age of carbon neutrality. 

KOTRA helps students get a job overseas

KOTRA held a workshop to help students get a job overseas on 25 and 26 May. Benefited universities were Chosun, Dongeui, Yeungnam, Chungnam, Chungbuk, Catholic Kwandong, Jeonbuk, Incheon and Daejin. The workshop presented job trend after the pandemic, successful cases and visa information. As the social distancing and travel ban are lifting, KOTRA is to strengthen support. As part of this effort, the 2022 Global Job Fair is to be held December this year. Visitors can receive assistance on how to better write resume and how to better prepare for job interviews. <PowerKorea>
