As the importance of gender equality emerges in the world, the status of women is also changing significantly. In particular, the fact that the perception that'there is a future in a country where women can live' is gradually strengthening as the population cliff due to the low birth rate is becoming a reality, is also giving strength to the policy. Nevertheless, it is still not easy to work, raise, and live as a woman in Korea. In addition, the threat of sexual crime, which is becoming more intelligent and diversified, is a factor that limits women's active activities. However, it can be said that gender equality education for the future is as important as Korea's economically and culturally advanced countries in the world. Is it because of that? In her interview, her expression of her equality teacher Oh Pure Gold and her eyes lit up with her strong sense of commitment to her own work.

Fighting against the dual difficulties experienced as a woman at the time of national reconstruction.
The life of Gender Equality Instructor Oh Soon-geum, a native of Jeju Island,  was not flat Instructor Oh lost his mother to illness at the age of 6 and finished high school under his grandparents.
After graduating from high school in 1976, he began preparing for the appointment of a public servant, and was appointed as a public official of the 5th class'Eul' as a local public servant, and now as a 9th-class public official.
As a mother of one son and one daughter for more than 40 years, many of the experiences he had as a field official who had faced numerous tasks for the reconstruction of the country led him to start his third life as a gender equality instructor after retirement.
In particular, what he remembers impressively is in his 6th year of work. It was at the time he was getting married and preparing for the birth of his first child. At that time, if a female public official gave birth, it was possible to receive maternity leave for 60 days. However, even though they applied for leave as prescribed, their superiors did not give permission because there were no cases of maternity leave for 60 days.
At the time, there was a strong perception that taking leave for childbirth was an act that interfered with work, and it was a natural procedure for female employees to resign if they were pregnant or had childbirth.
However, there was a conviction that it was for the future of the country in the long run for women to take a leave to give birth to a child and return to work after a vacation, so instructor Oh confidently persuaded a superior without resigning and received a prescribed maternity leave of 60 days In addition, he said that he still feels proud that this became a precedent, allowing her colleagues and junior female employees to use maternity leave more easily and return to work. Of course, even after that, when there was no concept of balance between work and parenting, socializing as a woman itself was a constant challenge.

Lack is my strength... I want to live the third act of life that helps more people
Instructor Oh Soon-geum said that the reason he was able to overcome the difficulties he faced as a government official, mother, and wife was the fact that he did not forget challenges, sincerity, and constant learning, using these deficiencies as raw materials. In particular, in the latter half of his life as a public servant, the top-level course at Korea University's Myeong Lecturer, which started with the suggestion of a subordinate, served as a great opportunity for Lecturer Oh to clearly decide the direction of the third act of his life. To become a lecturer, people from all walks of life and people from various fields resonated with learning the ability to empathize with the audience and elicit reactions. His ability as a lecturer is important to his teaching skills, but his depth is more important than anything else, so he strengthened himself through meditation classes and set foot in a new world through poetry and book writing classes. Lastly, lecturer Oh Soon-geum said that for the time being, his family and people around Shin Se-jin want to live a life that changes consciousness for a healthy society.
So, he said that he has decided to participate in his high school scholarship foundation and the Red Cross for 20 years every year as a commemorative project he met after he ended his public service and retired from retirement age. In addition, as a member of the Red Cross Volunteer Society, which was organized in 1979, he has been continuously volunteering through a number of group activities, including receiving the 5,000 Hours of Volunteer Award. Instructor Oh Soon-geum, who is constantly striving for a better society as an educator, has received the Nokjo Geunjeong Medal, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Government Administration and Home Affairs twice, and the Minister of Health and Welfare twice, as well as the National Professional Administration Association Various awards, including 9 times the heads of metropolitan and basic self-governing organizations, and the dean of Halla University, Jeju, and many public and private institutions, including Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Jeju Halla University, General Social Welfare Center, Jeju City Hall, Gyeongnam Women's Association, elementary, middle and high schools, and senior citizens' colleges. He has a teaching experience in private institutions. On the other hand, her book is 『25 Hours of Myeong Lecturer』 (co-authored).
