(PowerKorea) The Korean Red Cross and the National Cancer Center signed an agreement to promote blood donation on March 26, 2021. Also participated in the agreement is the Korean Health and Medical Worker’s Union to encourage members to become regular blood donors. Many blood donations were made on the day of the agreement on site.
National Cancer Center director Seo Hong-gwan said that the center was proud to join hands in this meaningful campaign, and Union division head Han Sung-il said that the union was also pleased to add strength, and Korean Red Cross Seoul Central Blood Bank director King Dong-suk said the agreement would encourage more participation of citizens.
Korean Red Cross engaged in rescue works during the Korean War, April Revolution, Gwangju Democratic Movement, Collapses of Seongsu Bridge and of Sampoong department store, earthquake in Pohang, forest fire in Gangwon Province, and in and around the COVID-19 battle fields.
