Paralyzing exchanges between nations, Corona19 virus pandemic has swept all nations around the world last year 2020. In that regard, it became more important to cooperate between countries around the world in order to end the spread of Corona19 virus pandemic in the new year 2021 besides utilizing vaccine. Some envoys from the Seoul Diplomatic Corps. have sent their messages to the Power Korea Media Group regarding their hopes to solve such pandemic as well as last but not least their desire to increase bilateral friendly relations between Korea & their respective countries government like belows. -Ed.

H.E Bangladesh Amb. Abida Islam new year message

The year 2020 marks the 47th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and the Republic of Korea (ROK) affirming the remarkable growth of the bilateral relationship in depth and dimension.

As a time-tested friend of Bangladesh, the ROK always assisted Bangladesh in its journey towards socio-economic development.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the ROK government for extending assistance to Bangladesh especially during its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

In relation to that, I express my deepest condolences to all those bereaved families who have lost their near and dear ones in 2020 due to the pandemic. They always will be in our thoughts and prayers. With the development of effective vaccines, I believe humanity could certainly overcome all those challenges confronted in 2020.

I am looking forward towards the year 2021 with optimism -May this new year bring the best of health, happiness and peace to all the friendly people of the ROK. I am also confident that partnership between the two nations will be further stronger and reach a greater height in 2021 and beyond.

In Year 2021, I sincerely hope that the relations between the Republic of Korea and the Czech Republic will continue to flourish to the benefit of both countries.

I wish korean people good health and prosperity! Let this year mark new progress in inter-Korean relations and peacekeeping initiatives. To the president Moon Jae-in and to the Korean government I wish to continue in a good governance of the country resulting in COVID containment and in wise drafting of new directions for Korean Post-COVID development.

Let us keep a positive mindset and high spirit to achieve our common goals!

Iraqi Ambassador’s 2021 New Year’s message

Dear Sir/ Madam, 

With the advent of the new year 2021, I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Power Korea Media Group and its subscribers for the interest and support for the work of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Seoul.

Although the year 2020 was one of the most difficult times for everyone around the world due to the COVID 19 pandemic, I hope the new year 2021 brings you health, happiness and new opportunities with the blessings of God.

I also would like to take this opportunity to emphasize that Iraq looks forward to continued and fruitful cooperation with Korea in developing bilateral relations in all aspects.

Ambassador of His Majesty the King of Morocco to the Republic of Korea

It is with great pleasure that I convey, in the name of the staff members of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Seoul and in my own name, our sincere new year’s greetings to the people and the Government of the Republic of Korea. And also size this opportunity, to convey my sincerest wishes for eternal success and prosperity to the editors and readers of the Power Korea Magazine.

Since the establishment of their diplomatic ties in July 1962, my country and the Republic of Korea forged a rock-solid longstanding relationship on every level, which has made it possible, today, to lay the ground for a genuine Strategic Partnership, and with the everincreasing connections between our two nations, we believe that the Republic of Korea can rely on the Kingdom of Morocco as a Gateway to the African continent. And Morocco, can rely on Korea as its opening to the Asian-Pacific Region.

By welcoming 2021, we’re looking to another year of success to forge a rock-solid long standing relationship on every level, and we will continue to work together to identify greater opportunities to strengthen our relation ties on mutual areas of interest.

Finally, I hope that we can see soon that the joint efforts of the world can reach effective solutions for both immediate and near future eradication of COVID19 and any other kind of pandemic.

May the kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Korea enjoy greater prosperity, progress and peace in this New Year. 

Nigeria Amb. H.E Amin  Muhammad DALHATU’s New Year Message

I am delighted to extend New Year goodwill message to H.E President Moon Jae-in and the good people of the Republic of Korea.

The bilateral ties between Nigeria and Korea have continued to grow in leaps and bounds. I look forward to an accelerated growth in 2021. Some of the areas the bilateral could be expanded are the following.

Agriculture: The main food crops that can be produced/processed include-beans, maize, rice, yams, cassava etc.

Manufacturing sector: Processing of salt from sea water, timber/wood processing, Stone cutting/polishing and many other solid minerals found in commercial quantities across the country. 

Nigeria is the Centre of ICT development in the West Africa sub region. It also remains a major investment destination for ICT in Africa.

Power/electricity sector: Government’s target in this sector is to achieve up to 75% access to electricity connecting an average 1.5 million households annually. Electricity through solar & hydro can be common grounds for both Nigeria and Korea. 

H.E Singapore Amb. Eric Teo to the Republic of Korea

2020 has been a defining year for many of us. Although COVID-19 has disrupted lives and livelihoods, the challenge of the pandemic, however, has also brought out the best in people. Frontline healthcare workers and essential staff have been at the forefront of the COVID-19 battle, either fighting to save lives or to keep the economy running. 

Scientists have strived to quickly develop effective and safe COVID-19 vaccines and treatments. In this time of social distancing, people have continued to show acts of kindness. This gives us hope for the year ahead. Although the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over, I believe that the ROK will succeed in bringing the outbreak under control soon. 

As we enter 2021, Singapore looks forward to continuing working closely and expanding our cooperation with the ROK. I am confident that together, we will emerge from these trying times even stronger and closer!

New Year Message

On the occasion of the New Year 2021, I express my warmest and sincere congratulations to Power Korea Media Group, wishing it more success and achievements. 

The relations between my country, the United Arab Emirates, and the Republic of Korea have witnessed a significant progress in all fields of cooperation over the past years. 

Thanks to the unlimited patronage by the wise leadership of our two countries, the bilateral ties have been ultimately upgraded to a Special Strategic Partnership to cope with the continuing growth and expansion of collaboration.

In 2020, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries. In the coming years, we look forward to further reinforcing and cementing this Special Strategic Partnership and expanding the bilateral cooperation to new areas.
