One of the reasons we get panicked about the virus is that we cannot see it with our eyes. Talking of invisible substances in our lives, virus is one of many such as find dust and bacteria. Most of us are wearing a mask and applying hand sanitizer in and out of a building in an effort to prevent these harmful substances getting into our body. But there is other way to tackle them.

A South Korean company Air T&S has carried on research and development on products that can remove virus, bacteria, odor and CO2 in the air by using metallic oxide-based new materials for many years.

The company's airzenQ is unique in execution of collecting ultra find dust as proved on a number of tests carried out in Seoul Metro subway trains. This electrostatic precipitator collects ultra find dust such as tobacco smoke, exhaust fumes, and even PM2.5 dust.

Some of the notable specifications of airzenQ are: electrostatic precipitation, removal of ultra find dust, emission of anion, ozone free, minium use of power and compact design.

Recently, the company expanded the application of airzenQ to vehicles in addition to home use. This portable model makes it easy to carry and the performance is as excellent as the existing one. Difference, however, is that you do not need to change the filter as it is designed for semi-permanent use.

The innovative and advanced electrostatic precipitation technologies of Air T&S is well received by its own development of dual corona photocatalyst in this time of the pandemic. Named as airzenQ77, it focused more on virus control alongside the existing bacterial and odor removal performances as proved through the tests carried out by the Korea Conformity Laboratories and the Korea Testing Laboratory.

airzenQ77 is loaded with self-developed solid oxygen filter instead of the widely used HEPA filter or ultraviolet sterilization filter to keep CO2 leveling down more effectively. It is easy to install regardless place or spot.

Jang Yoon-hyun, CEO of Air T&S, has traveled 34 countries for 3 years in seeking of advanced technologies and industries in the field before opening his own business. He developed electro-conductive glass in 2013 which led to a success in the dust collection tests in Seoul Metro subway trains in 2015. The development also helped keep the ozone below the allowed level.

Jang is determined to introduce an aseptic room technology by June 2021 and cattle quarantine technology within 2 years. When things go as he plans, eyeing the global market might be a matter of time, says Jang.
