Leukoplakia is a condition in which one or more white patches or spots forms on certain parts of skin. It occurs when melanin cells die or cannot be made. The exact cause is yet to be found and around 1% of people mainly among teens to 30s is known to be suffering from the condition. Naturally, the exact treatment is yet to be found but cell implant, laser and medicine are being used as cure.
Catholic University College of Medicine professor Bae Jeong-min and Long Time Liner Asia CEO Kim Jeong-yeon carried out forty times of clinical tests from December 2018 to March 2019 at the Catholic University of Korea St. Vincent's Hospital.
The results showed that they achieved 'good' in all forty tests of which seventeen were 'very good' in color match. Following the successful results and two years of further research, they published in 2020 'Fine Pigment Injection on Teloprotein' in Korean and English.
Bae and Kim founded a research center within Sangji University in Wonju and at the dermatology of Heal House in Suwon. They also joined hands with a semi permanent digital machine company to push forward localization of the core equipment. It is notable that they developed six kinds of pigments that go well with skins of Asians.
Meanwhile, Kim recently relocated the head office into the Wonju Medical Equipment Center and opened in-store training center at Ju & Clinic in Cheongdam, Habana Clinic in Ganseo, Heal House Skin Clinic in Suwon and Healing 41 in Yongin. If the virus is contained, Kim is expecting around forty more training centers nationwide including Incheon, Paju, Busan, Gwangju, Daejeon and Daegu as well as Bangkok Thailand and Ho Chi Minh Vietnam.
Encouraging still, Kim has formed a strategic alliance with FourOne, a South Korean mask maker, in order to export medical masks to Long Time Liner headquarters in Germany.
