DIP MX creates yet another round of K-POP wave overseas

The hybrid South Korean idol band DIP MX (Maru, Garam, Jasper and Allen) has finished a tour of Europe and Asia including Romania, Malaysia and Thailand and attracted a great attention from local media. An official who organized K-POP CONERT in ROMANIA said “Their music is fresh and colorful and they created a heat wave both in South Korea and Romania.”

Chairman Younghak Shin of Inter b.d Entertainment who manages DIP MX said “The members of DIP MX prepared the tour with utmost attention to detail. Each concert was carefully designed that can touch the hearts of the local audience. Singing ‘Arirang’ also played a role to spread K-POP wave.”

The concert in Romania was organized in cooperation with the Korean Business Federation in Romania and the Korea-Romania Exchange Association. Taking the stage fronting around 1,500 audiences, DIP MX exploded with its hit songs such as A Likely Night and Killing Me Softly. DIP MX made a debut at the SBS MTV The Show in 2016 and won the Best New Act at the 2016 LBMA, an honorary rhythmic gymnastics ambassador at the 2017 K-TrainingWork and another honorary ambassador of the 2017 Challenge Korean Awards. DIP MX also won the K-POP BOY at the 2019 World Star Awards.

At the 8th Brand Kids Model Awards Global Fashion Week, DIP MX wowed the audience by a surprise appearance. The Brand Kids Model Awards Global Fashion Week has been held more than 220 times since 1996 with a goal to spread excellence of Korean culture and it has fostered globally renowned child models and stars for the last 10 years. The awards is sponsored by Seoul Metropolitan City, Korea Tourism Organization, Incheon Metropolitan and Incheon Tourism Organization. Tony Gwon, CEO of LBMA STAR said “DIP MX joined the visit to a refugee school and the Save Earth Campaign with Juho Lee, CEO of the LBMA STAR Malaysia. It was meaningful and I would like to show my gratitude to them.”

Taking the momentum, DIP MX held a show case in Thailand and is to launch a number of tours in India and Vietnam. Maru of DIP MX said “It was great to meet our fans in Thailand and we are satisfied for the exploding response of our fans to our performance.” Chairman Shin said “We’ve prepared highly talented idol bands for a long time. We will keep doing our very best to make DIP MX as the new center of the K-POP wave in the world.”

Interview with Shin 

Q. You majored in theater and film but have a great love of music?

A. I like everything about culture and art. Inter b.d Entertainment started with actors such as Eunjung Han, Yoojin So and Dongwook Kim and then it expanded the scope to singers.

Q. You are engaging in the Excellent SMEs Fair in line with Wanghong?

A. Wanghong is one of the hottest e-commerce keywords in China. Holding the Excellent SMEs Fair started by taking this trend into account so that more South Korean SMEs can promote their products in China.

Q. Inter b.d Entertainment is received as to have created K-Wave contents perfectly?

A. I agree with the saying ‘the most Korean is the most global’. This is the reason that DIP MX sings Arirang at concerts. We will keep working on spreading excellent K-Wave contents to the world.

Q. What do you think is a good concert?

A. I think many young musicians tend to think a big concert is a good concert. No matter how big or small the concert is, the performance ends with nothing if the performer cannot touch the hearts of the audience. Inter b.d Entertainment pursues entertainments that can be enjoyed and shared regardless age and place.
