Introducing innovative ‘Hypersign’

Nowadays, we can easily see the analogue posters, direction boards and signboards in the digital billboards in restaurants and coffee shops. These digital billboards are called ‘digital signage’. Unlike the analogue signboards, the contents of the digital signage are remote-controllable which makes the ad edit easier than ever. Thanks to the wide spread of this new generation ad editing app, the global digital signage market was estimated USD 18 billion last year and is expected to be $35 billion by 2020. 

Innovation is another name for Hypersign
Yeon Chul-hee is the developer and CEO of Hypersign. You connect Android setup box to TV and Hypersign (app) on your smart phone or PC turns the TV as a menu board or ad board; using PC does not require setup box. Hypersign is made based on HTML5 and is easily produced and edited in various devices. A number of large companies in Korea are already using Hypersign in large shopping malls, walls of buildings, kiosks and menu boards. Hypersign is especially good for small and medium business owners since the app allows them to easily produce and edit the ad they want. Thanks to its innovation, Hypersign is recognized by the Small & Medium Business Corporation and is one of the subjects of its affiliated startup academy. 

Attention to detail
Yeon was a veteran marketer who served as the strategic division head of the Chinese internet company ‘NetEase’ Korea. “I thought this Hypersign idea whenever I ate meals at restaurants. I saw that the items and the prices on the menu board were often dribbled when there was a change in items and prices which looked dirty. Also, dinners these days hardly look the menu board since they bow down on their smart phone even while they are eating. So I thought the TV or the menu board could better be used as updatable digital signboards and the idea of Hypersign started to form at this point” says Yeon. He spent about a year for market research and meeting with industry specialists one of which became the partner of Yeon to develop Hypersign with.

Hypersign can be used almost all stores and business places. Franchise restaurants especially have keen interest in Hypersign for its easiness and effectiveness. You can control the signboard on your smart phone and you can make a certain catch line appear in a certain time. Interior-wise, Hypersign raises the overall ambience of a place with its sophisticated system. With these proven performances and cost-effectiveness, CEO Yeon is ambitiously planning to expand the business to more stores and business areas. He will start with building a business network for franchise and small store owners while also give more time and effort in spreading the excellence of Hypersign to more people and companies.
