It is interesting to admit that we, the human race with reason and logic, sometimes rely on such things called superstitions especially when falling into a difficult situation.

We are not sure where this fear and self-prescription come from but people seeking an advice or two from fortunetellers, at this point, no long seem to be ridiculous as many of us feel the sympathy for a drowning man clutches at a straw.

What we should better know now is that things have changed over time and more and more fortunetellers are equipped with scientific knowledge whether self-taught or academic. And Ji Sung Fortuneteller Master Imhwa is among this emerging group in the self-taught category.

He is received as a master fortuneteller especially around the region where he is based in Deokjin-gu, Jeonju City. He is credited for going through scientific analysis before giving practical advice which has wowed many people who sought an advice or two from him for a better future.

"Fortunetelling, or the Four Pillars of Destiny to be more precise, is like a lamplight that shows better ways and choices we should take" says Imhwa. * The Four Pillars of Destiny: the time, day, month and year of one's birth.

Advice seekers normally get surprised at his frankness when visited first: Imhwa says bad as bad and good as good though it might ruin the feelings of his clients. "This is important because solutions come from admitting the facts" emphasizes Imhwa.

"The Four Pillars of Destiny is a study that has passed down for thousands of years. It requires you to understand the theory thoroughly and interpret each case with perfection. Every bad luck, in fact, has at least one advantage hidden and misunderstanding and interpretation, therefore, sometimes can make you confused a good luck with a bad one or the other way round."

"Every bad luck has at least one advantage" means we can turn our bad luck to good one by knowing how and trying hard thereafter. The 'knowing part' is the job of Imhwa and the 'trying hard part' is the job of each of us.

For example, Imhwa advises us to meet a person or a group of people whom we should better mingle with. This is called as 'supportive role of the Four Pillars of Destiny' according to Imhwa.

In other words, Imhwa finds what you are good at or destined for so that you could pave a better way for your future; if you are turned out to have a bad luck, you can change it to good one by meeting a person who can fill up your weak parts, according to Imhwa.

"Those who seek an advice from me are the people wishing to change their fate. So I never give false hope but let them know where they belong to from which they should restart their zeal."

Imhwa has won a number of awards including the Korea Future Management Award, Korea Culture Management Award, Yeokhak Master Award, and Korea Power Leader Award.
