Meditation is training of the mind. The world we live in today seems to circle around the materialism and most of us keep ourselves busy earning more money to fill our material wants. Naturally, we are paying no attention to training our inner-selves. Meditation, in this respect, can be an effective tool for us to think things over about our lives, what might be the problems and what can be the solutions.

Many futurologists voiced together that what we need in the 21st century is ‘humanity’ and ‘wisdom of sharing’ but not the ‘knowledge’. This is because the virtues such as community spirit, consideration, yielding, cooperation and patience are a matter of the ‘mind’ but not the ‘knowledge’. In this sense, it is noteworthy for us to listen to the story of Lee Gyeong-jae, Director of Center for Human Completion.

“I thought I made a success as a coaching and communication specialist. Yet I had troubles with my family and colleagues. It was irony that I couldn’t be able to solve my own problems while giving advice for others. I was frustrated. In an effort to find an answer, I browsed in books and took a number of courses but in vain. Then I came to know about ‘Ma-Eum Su-Ryun meditation’. Amazingly, the problems seemed to solve themselves one by one after a few months training and I felt really light and happy. I realized that I myself was the source of the problems but I tried to find it from outside. I came to a conclusion that the training of seeing oneself objectively can be a good answer to solve one’s troubles.”

Indeed, there are many positive effects and changes we can get from meditation: relaxation, concentration, creativity, open-mindedness, consideration, self-esteem and confidence. Above all, we can have a smiley and healthy face, says Lee.

“The condition of our lives doesn’t change but we can change the way to deal with it. Meditation shifts our center to others or to the world from our selfishness. Stress and dissatisfaction happen because things don’t happen as I wished. So let it go and consider others first. You might feel a loss at first but it will come back bigger unexpectedly at home or workplace.”

The Center for Human Completion was a licensed meditation institution approved by the National Institute for Lifelong Education in July 2014. Its excellent curriculum and the professionalism of the trainers brought the 2018 Korean Education Industrial Awards to the center. The center’s most popular ‘Finding True-Self Meditation (the method of self-reflection and discarding false mind)’ especially is received as a scientific and effective meditation program that has changed many trainees. Whether you are a student or adult, you are highly recommended to take the overnight course at weekends alone or with your family or colleagues to experience the change of your life.
